John of Mayhem Ink first approached me with an old website, created in flash, and hosted underneath a local rock band's homepage. The site ranked last compared to other tattoo shops in the area and all the information was outdated. John wanted a website that was fun while still professional and that would help draw new customers to the shop.

I first worked with John to build his brand which meant revamping their old hand-drawn logo into a crisp vector based logo for use in print and on the web. The next step was to build a template that met all of the shops requirements and specifications. One of those requirements being the ability to easily edit the content of the website. After much planning, research, and a few design revisions, we settled on the current live design easily managed and fully integrated with the XSLT and PHP based Symphony CMS.

About few days after launch, organic traffic began rolling in due to the keyword rich domain name and the solid on-page SEO. Over the next few weeks traffic spiked, more and more people started coming to the shop. In a recent conversation with John, I have come to learn that this year they are the leading shop in the area and business is doing great.
